Recruiting Fellows for Summer 2020! (Priority Deadline — May 31)
Updated: May 17, 2020
Our Foundation is recruiting current or incoming undergraduate students to join our fellowship program for the upcoming summer!
Overview:
The EduTrack Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that promotes educational equity by providing college and career prep services to students from underprivileged and underrepresented communities. We believe that all students should have access to higher level education and career learning opportunities.
The EduTrack Foundation is seeking undergraduate students who are passionate about educational equity and public service. Our 2020 Summer Fellowship Program allows students the opportunity to work closely in non-profit development, spearhead individual projects, and develop valuable skills in areas such as: writing, communication, research, and strategic planning. Along with being involved in our day to day operations, each fellow has the opportunity to work on a "capstone" project!
Fellowship Descriptions:
Social Media — Our Social Media Fellows will work closely with our VP of Marketing to design, produce, and author content relevant to our Foundation's mission of educational equity. Furthermore, our Social Media Fellows will be expected to engage in strategy development for targeted social media expansion. For their capstone, each fellow will help develop a 12-month strategy plan and marketing guide geared towards expanding our digital presence.
Strategic Development — Our Strategic Development Fellows will work closely with our Operations Team to learn the internal functions of our Foundation. They will be working specifically on projects related to growing our presence in California High Schools. For their capstone, each fellow will help develop a short-term and long term strategy plan for growing EduTrack's presence, services, and sources of funding.
Research — Our Research Fellows will be tasked with collecting key information about systematic educational inequities. Furthermore, they will assist directly in developing the curriculum guide used by EduTrack High School programs for college and career prep. For their capstone, each fellow will prepare a formal case argument, that can be used to secure potential donors and sponsorships.
Blog Development — Our Foundation's newest initiative is the OUR JOURNEY blog! Our Blog Development Fellows will help produce content, recruit new writers, and help OUR JOURNEY develop a base. Blog Development fellows will not be expected to complete a capstone but may pursue one if they wish.
PLEASE NOTE: All positions are relatively fluid. In other words, we are more then willing to assist fellows in designing their own position and capstone project!
Commitment, Stipend, and Deadline:
Fellows should be able to commit 10 hours per week and all positions will operate remotely. We will be accepting applications on a rolling basis, however, we encouraged interested individuals to apply before May 31. Unfortunately, our organization is unable to offer paid fellowship positions for this summer.
Application:
The application can be found here. It should only take students about 5 minutes. Applicants may be contacted for an interview. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at edutrackfoundation@gmail.com
